CERN OSPO hosts the European Open Source Academy General Assembly

The CERN Open Source Program Office (OSPO) was proud to host the General Assembly (GA) of the European Open Source Academy (EOSA) at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

What is the European Open Source Academy?

The European Open Source Academy is an initiative bringing together leaders across the open-source ecosystem to build structure, community, and vision for open source across Europe. Beyond writing code, the Academy works to foster trust, transparency, and digital autonomy.

A Shared Commitment to Openness

CERN provided a fitting backdrop for these discussions. As the birthplace of the World Wide Web and a long-time champion of open source software, open data, and open hardware, CERN demonstrates how global collaboration at scale relies on open principles.

CERN OSPO is delighted to support the European Open Source Academy as it shapes the future of open technology across the continent.
